    BREAKAWAY (1996)
Showing Tuesday 3/6/2018 at The Hollywood Theatre

Tonya Harding was in a movie! She tried her hand at a variety of things after her figure skating heyday, one of them being acting. From the back of the VHS box:

Myra Styles (Teri Thompson, MARRIED PEOPLE SINGLE SEX, IRONMAN) made the mistake of stealing money from the mob. Now on the run, Myra is betrayed by her boyfriend and loses the money to an innocent bystander, Gina Taylor (Tonya Harding, Olympic Figure Skater). They are pursued by a pack of bloodthirsty mobsters and a relentless hitman, Grey (Joe Estevez, BODY COUNT, CRIMINAL INTENT, DOUBLE BLAST). Each woman gets caught in the searing heat and gripping action of the chase. They both learn that when you bend the rules too far, it’s time to… BREAKAWAY. Directed by Sean Dash.

Amazingly, this is the first time we’ve shown a movie featuring b-movie heavyweight Joe Estevez. Tonya and Joe seem like a good pairing!
